IER is a permanent member of the CUSS & CUPPS technical group.

One of the Simplifying the Business cornerstones has been the development and implementation of Common Use Self-Service kiosks for ticketing and check-in operations.

Over the recent years, the deployment of the self-service kiosks as well as the CUSS application has been accelerating.

The CUSS Technical Group is managed by IATA and brings together engineers of the technical departments and Research and Development services of airports, airlines as well as the main manufacturers and designers of solutions dedicated to passenger processing.

IER has been an active member of this group since its inception in 1999 and has contributed to the design of the CUSS standard from the very beginning.

Our membership of the CUSS Technical Group allows IER to be a driving force of the CUSS standard evolution. We put into it the best of our expertise as a designer, manufacturer and installer of global solutions.

Similarly, IER participates in CUPPS Technical Group. The CUPPS (Common Use Passenger Processing Systems) is a revision of the old standard CUTE (Common Use Terminal Equipment). It is also the generic platform for multiple airline counters or for multiple airlines self-service check-in kiosks at airports. Its objective is to restore the interoperability of different platforms, improve passenger processing and reduce costs.

Our membership to the CUSS & CUPPS Technical Groups allows IER to be a driving force of the CUSS and CUPPS standards evolution. We put into it the best of our expertise as a designer, manufacturer and installer of global solutions.

IER also has industrial experience in other markets which widens its domain of expertise and provides tremendous synergies.

Not only does IER design and manufacture RFID bag tags, global systems and air baggage handling, we also supply millions of RFID inlays and data capture systems to major operators of the retail market, such as Marks & Spencer in the United Kingdom…
