For several years, IER has been a major CUSS platform provider offering a “one stop shop” to its customers with a complete solution including hardware, software, monitoring systems, installation and service.
Today, IER goes a step further by introducing a completely new range of CUSS kiosks designed to meet the latest trends in passenger travel such as e-ticketing, 2D barcoded boarding passes, the ability to read e-passports and to check-in passengers with or without bags.
The new IER 918 is the most compact size kiosk on the market offering maximum functionality and flexibility to provide airlines and airports with the most efficient and easy to use self-service check-in kiosk.

The IER 918 integrates high performance components such as a 17 inch Surface Acoustic Wave touchscreen, a wide format, 300 dpi 2D barcode boarding pass printer, a hybrid manual card reader for magnetic and smart card reading, a robust industrial PC board with Pentium processor and a wide variety of advanced options including:
- 2D omni-directional barcode scanner,
- RF contactless card reader,
- Full page e-passport reader,
- Bagtag printer,
- Standalone; easily movable pedestals,
- Overhead signage,
- UPS, WiFi, etc.
Flexible mounting and installation
IER has used its extensive experience in designing modular products to create a kiosk that is modular and scaleable. The IER 918 product design consists of a single, low-profile counter-top kiosk that can also be installed on a standalone pedestal equipped with additional functionality. This allows a large number of possible installation methods including:
- Counter-top
- Integrated within a counter
- Standalone floor mounted pedestal
- Against a wall

The IER 918 kiosks are designed for maximum ease of use. The height and reach of all user-interfaces are accessible to all passengers including disabled persons travelling in wheelchairs.

The IER 918 kiosks are also designed for maximum serviceability The kiosk is equipped with a swing door (upper module) and a sliding drawer (pedestal) to provide full access to the internal components. All components are replaceable in the field by a trained maintenance provider. The IER 918 is even very easy to move should it be necessary to change its location after installation.
