2007-10-24 - IER Self-Service Check-In Application selected by EDS

EDS, a leading airline IT Services provider, has selected the new Self-Service Check-In Application developed by IER for EDS’ Zurich operations. IER is the leading supplier of passenger and baggage processing solutions for the air transport industry.

EDS Switzerland, based in Zurich, will now be able to offer to its airport, airline and ground handling customers a complete check-in solution consisting of the EDS Departure Control System, the IER Common Use Self-Service Application (IATA CUSS standard) and IER check-in kiosks.

EDS has selected ALISS, the IER web based comprehensive CUSS self-service check-in application especially designed for airlines, airports or ground handling companies wishing to easily and rapidly offer self-service check-in on kiosks to their passengers.

ALISS provides paper or electronic ticketed passengers with the ability to quickly and efficiently check-in for their flight, select or change their seat assignment and obtain their boarding pass.

In addition, ALISS also includes a user friendly administration module for remote configuration and usage data collection.

IER, which multiplies kiosks and CUSS deployment all over the world, offers a full range of Self-Service Software solutions including CUSS platform, self-service check-in application, Internet check-in solution and monitoring system for kiosks. ALISS is part of the IER Multi Access Check-in Platform which also includes an Internet check-in application.
